Foods rich in vitamin A

Kathy Browning is a freelance writer, food critic and published author. On her website, The Cheap Gourmet, she provides her readers with recipes, cooking tips, and more. She is also a Vitamin Angels ambassador! Kathy recently wrote an article called "Vitamin A: Top Ten Foods to Boost Immunity and Protect Vision" in support and honor of Vitamin Angels' vitamin A programs.

If you're on our website and made it to the blog, you're probably already aware of the problem of vitamin A deficiency (VAD) and our Operation 20/20 program providing high-dose vitamin A supplements to deficient children around the world. If not, you can learn more here. What you may not know is that VAD is not considered to be a major health concern for developed regions like the U.S. and western Europe. That it is because foods rich in nutrients like vitamin A are readily available and affordable. Kathy's article shares with us the top foods for obtaining and maintaining the vitamin A we need to function, and reminds us of the obstacles Vitamin Angels' beneficiaries must face in attaining the nutrients they need to thrive.

Butternut Squash is on the list. Any guesses as to what else makes the list? (no peeking!)

Hey - interesting article.

Hey - interesting article. We're huge fans of nitric oxide supplements, including Jack3d and SuperPump 250, but it's more about eating right. I've generally been a follower of the Warrior Diet. It is natural and how we evolved to eat. Check it out sometime and let me know your opinions. Anyhow, cool blog - I'm subscribed to your feed now so thanks again!
