Hi! I am Katherine and I stumbled onto Vitamin Angels when I was researching for a project on Vitamin A. I found their Progam "Operation 20/20" and think it is fantastic! There are so many undernourished kids and I think this is a great way to get involved and do something about it!

Have A Heart

I am competing in a competition for an organization called FCCLA. For this competition, I am giving a presentation on Vitamin A. To give myself more of a platform for my project, and to make it more meaningful, I wanted to find an organization that dealt with Vitamin A on a personal level. I searched for weeks and finally found Vitamin Angels' "Operation 20/20"! It was exactly what I had been looking for. I was even more excited when I found out that this website allowed you to come up with a personal fundraiser. To personalize my project for FCCLA, I am holding a fundraiser through the National Honors Society at my high school, Westlake High in Saratoga Springs UT, to raise money to benifit "Operation 20/20" and kids suffering from a Vitamin A defficiency. Our fundraiser will be called "Have A Heart" and will begin Monday, Feb. 22 and end Sunday, Feb. 28. Students will be able to purchase a paper heart for $1 and put their name on it to go on a designated wall in our commons area. Our goal is to raise $300 (in other words, sell 300 hearts). We are so excited about Vitamin Angels and hope to make a difference!
