I'm an Editor for the Health & Nutrition Network at VIRGO Publishing. I'm gearing up to hit the ground running to help raise money for children in need at the P.F. Chang's 1/2 marathon sponsored by Vitamin Angels.

Megan Dinchak

I'm training hard to conquer my first 1/2 marathon in support of the non-profit organization, Vitamin Angels, in their effort to help provide essential nutrition to malnourished children worldwide. I will be running 31.1 miles in the the P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon on Jan. 15, 2012, with the goal of raising a $300 to save the lives of approximately 1,200 children under the age of five.

Every dollar I raise will be matched by a group of sponsors including, Emerson Ecologics, DSM, Pharmachem Laboratories, Marine Nutriceutical, AIDP, Swanson Health Products, Michael's Naturopathic, Lily of the Desert, UNFI, BioSan Laboratories and Novell Ingredients during Vitamin Angel's 100 Days of Giving Campaign. With the help of this program, Vitamin Angels will be able to save the lives of 1,000,000 children worldwide next year alone.

There is an astonishing number of children in the world who are living without the basic human necessities. Please join me in helping provide these helpless children with the essential nourishment they need to live healthy, happy lives. Every penny helps--so please donate today!

Way to go, Megan!

Congratulations on taking the challenge. 13.1 sounds like a long distance, but you can do it! And this year's new course should make it really fun. Good luck with the race and with the fundraising. I may see you on the course!

Good luck!

Don't have any plans to run, but happy to contribute!
