Vitamin Angels to Host Celebration during Natural Products Expo East
6th Annual Celebration of Angels coming September 23rd, 2011

Santa Barbara, CA – Vitamin Angels will be hosting its 6th annual Celebration of Angels gala on September 23rd at the American Visionary Arts Museum in Baltimore, MD in conjunction with the Natural Products Expo East trade show. Retailers, manufacturers, raw ingredients suppliers, distributors and interested individuals are invited to join Vitamin Angels in celebrating the vision that has made their work possible. The event will also launch Vitamin Angels’ largest fundraising event to date, the 100 Days of Giving.

Lack of essential nutrients is responsible for one-third of the deaths of children under five worldwide. Vitamin Angels partners with companies large and small to obtain the vitamins and funding necessary to reach children and pregnant or lactating mothers worldwide, including domestically.

"Celebration of Angels is our biggest opportunity to bring together our donors so they can meet our field partners and some of the incredible people who make this work happen,” said Vitamin Angels’ President, Howard B. Schiffer. “We love shining a light on and applauding this amazing industry that is allowing us to reach 24 million children in 2011! And, we can’t wait to kick off our 100 Days of Giving which will make it possible for us reach even more children in 2012."

The event will feature special guest speaker, Sister Denise Desil, from Vitamin Angels’ project in Haiti, musical guests Sweet Tooth and the Sugar Babies, a caricaturist and a special opportunity for attendees to participate in the launch of Vitamin Angels’ biggest campaign yet. In addition, President, Howard Schiffer will speak about his vision in founding Vitamin Angels 17 years ago.

Vitamin Angels’ Celebration of Angels event will be held on Friday, September 23rd starting at 6:00 p.m. at the American Visionary Arts Museum in Baltimore, MD. Tickets are available for purchase in advance through Vitamin Angels' website and will be available at the door, space permitting.
