Instructions to Manufacturers on Use of Vitamin Angel Label Templates.
Product: All vitamin A formulations.
These instructions apply to the 50,000 IU, 100,000 IU, and 200,000 IU Vitamin A labels that are posted on the Vitamin Angels website.
Although minor modifications, subject to the approval of Vitamin Angels, may be made, the overall label template should remain as provided, including overall design, layout, colors and text. Specifically:
Manufacturers should avoid altering the following:
Everything above and including the grey horizontal stripe,
The wording regarding the formulation (WHO & UNICEF),
The text regarding “For Free Distribution Only… Not for resale, unless specifically authorized by Vitamin Angels” should be printed as is.
Manufacturers are encouraged to modify the following:
Below the grey horizontal stripe, we anticipate manufacturers/partners to insert their name and add its logo (consistent with a similar font size and overall format for images as presented in the template), and
Vitamin Angels website address needs to be included, although it may be moved to another location below the grey horizontal stripe as required to accommodate manufacturer logos and accompanying text.
All labels MUST incorporate the following items:
Country of Origin of raw material vitamin A,
Manufacturer's name and address,
Batch Number assigned by the manufacturer,
Manufacturing date, and
Expiry date in an easily understandable format.
The container/bottle must be affixed with a clear, readable label, printed with indelible ink. Labeling may be done using lithography direct on a container or with self-adhesive labels, using pharmaceutical defiberized paper (80mg/kvm), with film or UV coating for protection against humidity. Paper labels must be affixed to prevent detachment in tropical climates.
