The families we serve face extreme challenges and limited resources, but a lack of education should never be a barrier to good health.
In collaboration with our nonprofit partners in the field, we encourage and support supplemental education on the basics of nutrition and its importance.
“The doctor of the future will no longer treat the human frame with drugs, but rather will cure and prevent disease with nutrition.”Thomas Edison
Moms everywhere ask us common questions about health, like ''What food should I eat when pregnant?'' and ''Why is breastfeeding important?'' Our field partners inform moms on how to make healthy choices for themselves and their growing children.
We provide expert-approved recommendations for breastfeeding practices, such as breastfeeding exclusively for the first six months of their child’s life.
Our materials and tools provide basic child nutrition education and teach healthy practices such as the importance of consuming a variety of foods that are rich in vitamins. Coloring sheets, stickers, and other tools are a fun way for children to learn about the value of good nutrition.
Many of our field partners take nutrition education a step further by creating community gardens or encouraging information sharing between community members.
