Development Coordinator

Role or Purpose of Position

Development Coordinator 

Support the Vitamin Angels’ development division in the management of existing CP (Corporate Partner) partnerships and the new business leads & outreach process. In addition, manage divisional administrative tasks such as meeting coordination and note taking, trade show logistics, promotional materials, and donor recognition projects. Lastly, handle divisional budgeting needs such as tracking and reporting on the division’s revenue vs. expense.

The purpose of the position is to manage various divisional tasks that support CP partnership growth, development and increased financial contributions. The Development Coordinator works closely with the Associate Director of Business Development, the Donor Engagement and International Travel Manager, and the Account Management team to aid in the execution of various projects to ensure our accounts continued support and satisfaction in partnering with Vitamin Angels.  Knowledge of the Vitamin Mineral Supplement and Retail industry is preferred in order to promote, exemplify and further the mission[1], values and culture of VA.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute development divisional needs to support CP account acquisition and existing partner growth strategies:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for new CP inquiries, via email or phone outreach. Conduct screening conversations and support AMs in the educational and closing process, when appropriate.
  • Work closely with the Associate Director of Business Development and the Account Management team to coordinate and distribute key informational updates, offerings and opportunities to existing CP accounts.
  • Work closely with the Donor Engagement and International Travel Manager to coordinate and execute quarterly employee engagement experiences for CPs.
  • Work closely with the Travel Manager to support the logistics, coordination and execution of international and domestic donor trips.
  • Manage the divisional outlook calendar to organize, cancel and change development team meetings and take notes. Additionally, capture and save notes for any group cross divisional meetings and the company wide operations meeting. Lastly, support the VP of Business Development with meeting scheduling and calendar coordination.
  • Manage industry trade show presence, booth location, flow of show and schedule coordination for in-person trade show events. Additionally, reserve and coordinate hotel accommodations and travel logistics.
  • Organize and execute donor recognition and ensure all CPs are properly represented. Update, add and remove CP logos on the Vitamin Angels website as needed.  
  • Manage Dev. division promotional items; ideating, ordering, tracking and maintaining an active inventory of promotional materials to serve CP and trade show needs.

Revenue Reporting/Expense Budget Management

  • Analyze and report revenue and divisional expense budgets to the Account Management and Executive team
  • Lead annual budgeting process using Salesforce to project and track all revenue, organization-wide
  • Provide regular updates to entire staff to report any revisions to revenue forecast and new business
  • Facilitate monthly revenue reporting meetings to share budget vs. year-to-date actuals and revised forecast
  • Maintain budget oversight of tradeshow, promotional material, and donor recognition expenses, including tracking expenses against organization’s annual budget.


Level of Decision-Making

The Development Coordinator connects regularly with the Associate Director of Business Development, the Account Management team and the Manager of Donor Engagement and International Travel Manager.


Organizational Relationships

Vitamin Angels operates under a collaborative, matrix management model. The Development Coordinator is supervised by the Associate Director of Business Development and interacts daily with a range of members of the VA team. Each VA team member establishes their own work flow and priorities, and ensures that their individual activities are continuing within the context of an established schedule and budget.

  • Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Proficiency with information technology (e.g., basic office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, practical understanding of Internet applications use, etc.).
  • Superior organizational, interpersonal and communications skills (written/oral) required.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and proactively follow-up until task completion.
  • Enjoys an idea and information sharing environment and collaborating to achieve desired results.
  • Ability to manage stress, including but not limited to stress resulting from local and foreign travel, large crowds, open spaces, shared office space, and daily activities.
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, including but not limited to general job assignments perform at a desk.

  • Previous experience in the Natural Products Industry.
