Events Marketing Intern

Vitamin Angels (VA) is a global public health organization working towards ending malnutrition worldwide by distributing life-changing vitamins and minerals to at-risk mothers and children under five in the U.S. and around the world. In 2019, Vitamin Angels will provide vitamins and minerals to nearly 70 million mothers and children in more than 70 countries around the world, including the U.S.

About this Role

Vitamin Angels is looking for an Events Marketing Intern to assist with the ideation, planning, and execution of VA’s largest events. This internship offers an opportunity to gain experience in marketing and event coordination in both corporate and nonprofit settings.

This role will assist/support the following responsibilities: 


  • Research and strategize event programming, giveaways and design within given budget
  • Work with vendors to keep event logistics moving forward
  • Organize and purchase supplies for events
  • Recruit and manage event volunteers
  • Monitor general events email inbox


  • Research and strategize new event promotion tactics
  • Review print assets and provide feedback to designer
  • Ensure accuracy of sponsor recognition on all creative assets
  • Strategize unique ways to implement social media pre, post, and during events


To be considered, applicants must have the following qualifications/skills:

  • Previous event coordination experience – paid or volunteer
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Adaptable – comfortable switching from project to project as changes arise
  • Self-motivated – ability to take initiative when necessary
  • Good attitude - willingness to learn and take direction
  • Reliable - completes tasks by deadlines and maintains consistent schedule

Internship Details

  • Internship Salary: monthly stipend of $400 for 10-15 hours per week
  • Interviews will begin in January
  • Internship begins late January or early February 2020.
