SANTA BARBARA, CA – On Thursday, March 9, Vitamin Angels, hosted more than 400 guests representing nearly 100 companies across the Natural Products Industry and beyond, for its annual League of Angels reception. The event raised approximate $135,000 through sponsorships and onsite fundraising, the proceeds of which will go to supporting Vitamin Angels’ efforts to combat childhood malnutrition worldwide. The evening’s success underscores the tremendous industry support of the charity and a shared belief in the power of vitamins to combat a global health problem.

“Vitamin Angels has really been a unifying force in the vitamin and natural products industry, uniting companies and individuals in the belief in the power of vitamins to transform the lives of the children and moms we are reaching. Our supporters helped us provide essential nutrients to over 51 million children and moms around the world last year. Their continued support is critical to helping us reach the unreachable – the children living in the most remote and hard to reach areas.” Howard Schiffer, President and Founder

League of Angels took place at Angel Stadium in the Ketel One and Diamond Clubs and brought together industry executives and associates representing retailers, manufacturers and vendors in a unique networking event. Guests who attended were treated to presentations by Schiffer and executive members of Sprouts Farmers Market. Throughout the evening, attendees supported the charity through various fundraising activities such as hitting in the Anaheim Angels’ official batting cages, taking private, behind-the-scenes tours of the stadium, and making purchases at a global goods store that featured items from around the world.

Following the reception, Vitamin Angels hosted a booth at the Natural Products Expo West, which took place at the Anaheim Convention Center. Representatives shared information about Vitamin Angels’ work and shared cause-marketing opportunities with interested companies.

League of Angels was made possible through the generous support of these event sponsors: Walgreens, The Vitamin Shoppe, Barlean’s, Purity Products, Vibrant Health, Pure Encapsulations, Presence Marketing, Arizona Nutritional Supplements, AIDP, Just Thrive, Life, Herbally Yours, New Hope Network, NewChapter, Tishcon Corp., Whole Foods Magazine, Zorbits, NOW, Pharmachem Laboratories, Rainbow Light, SmartyPants, Sprouts Farmers Market, Vitamer, Vitaquest, and VitaCeutical Labs.
