Santa Barbara, CA – Vitamin Angels, a charity based in Santa Barbara for over 20 years that provides nutritional support to children and mothers in need, announced that it will host a family-focused community event in Santa Barbara on Saturday, August 20 from 10a.m. to 12:00p.m. in Alameda Park. The event, which will raise awareness for the work that the organization does in the US and around the world, will include games, arts and crafts, and more to educate attendees about the importance of good childhood nutrition. The event is free and appropriate for all ages.
"We’re excited to invite families in the community to come out and learn about Vitamin Angels mission,” said Howard Schiffer, president and founder of Vitamin Angels. “We want to share with our neighbors and friends about the important work that we do at home and around the world."
The celebration will also recognize local Santa Barbara residents who participate in Vitamin Angels’ fundraising initiative, Summer of Savings, running June 20 – August 22.
